Transforming toilets for 770 students to improve attendance

Improving health and access to education for 770 students in Tanzania.

Thanks to our amazing donors, the British and Foreign School Society and Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust we are able to start building two toilets blocks to make them safe for students to use and stop toilets from being a barrier to girls attending school, especially during their menstruation.

Oldenderet Toilets

Dilapidated. Dangerous. Preventing girls attending school. No accessible facilities. No locks on the doors. Very unsanitary and risking children’s health.

Maji Moto Toilets

Full pit latrine toilets. Falling down. Unusable. Very unsanitary. Preventing girl’s attending school whilst they’re menstruating.

Keep an eye out on our social media for updates on these projects and the impact it will bring.
